The presupposition imderlying the conclusions of this volume is that man’s illness is spiritual and, therefore, the cure must be spiritual. Economic, intellectual, social, medicinal, recreational, and fraternal panaceas deal only with peripheral matters, and thus bring only temporary relief. Exterior remedies will not cure interior illness. Man must be healed not merely on the surface and circumference but also at the heart and center. (From the Introduction)
