A portrait of an elderly man standing by a seated elderly woman--Dr. and Mrs. Phineas F. Bresee
Cover Photo of Dr. and Mrs. Phineas F. Bresee is made from an oil painting done by Margaret Parish, Kansas City artist. In 1976 while in Dallas for General Assembly the general secretary, Dr. B. Edgar Johnson, received copies of two old prints of Dr. and Mrs. Bressee presumed to have been taken in 1913 or 1914. Mrs. Parish has beautifully captured the expression of the Bresees and combine the styles represented in the the little snapshots to make a treasured portrait of the founder of the Church of the Nazarene and his wife at this very late time in their lives.
